Kinneret Kohn Manager of Teen Programs New-York Historical Society

Kinneret Kohn is the Manager of Teen Programs at the New-York Historical Society and is currently serving her fourth year on the NYCMER Board. Her previous positions include the Manager of Education & Public Programs and Interim Head of Programs & Visitor Experience at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Education Specialist at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and as an Education Intern at the American Folk Art Museum. Kinneret earned an M.S. Ed in Leadership in Museum Education from Bank Street College of Education; an M.A. in International Education Development, focus on Peace Education, from Teachers College, Columbia University; and a B.A. in International Studies from The Ohio State University. Focus: Volunteer Recruitment & Training: Please join us and special guest speaker Vincent Deschamp, Director of Visitor Experience at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, for a conversation about volunteer recruitment and training, an area in which Vincent has much experience. He began a global research project on volunteer management, which started during his work at the Smithsonian Institution and continued through his previous position as the Visitor Experience Manager at the Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden in D.C. He has since published his findings Public Engagement In Volunteer Management & Visitor Services: In And Outside The United States which we are looking forward to discussing together at our meeting.
