Docent and Volunteer Supervisors + Museums and International Understanding

Where: Rubin Museum
150 West 17th Street
NY, NY

When:5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We’ve planned a special collaborative meeting with the Docent/Volunteer Supervisors and Museums and International Understanding Peer Groups. Cultural Sensitivity is an important topic, especially in our field where many of the educators and full time staff don’t necessarily come from the backgrounds represented in our collections. Our session will focus on training for cultural sensitivity and dealing with difficult situations. We want to hear about ways you train docents, volunteers, and staff to better prepare them for these issues.
