October is LGBTQ+ History Month, so celebrate with NYCMER Queer Peers by visiting the newly-opened Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center (SNMVC)!
Learn about the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion, Greenwich Village as a LGBTQ+ enclave, and the AIDS crisis. There will be a guided tour of the exhibitions, including a 1967 AMI Jukebox that is functional, an AR experience, a Theater, and more!
This after-hours tour is FREE. Donations to SNMVC are encouraged. There will be SNMVC merchandise available to purchase in the store.
There are only 50 spots available! NYCMER members and non-members are welcomed to bring a plus-one.
Afterwards, enjoy happy hour next door with NYCMER Queer Peers at Stonewall (53 Christopher Street, New York, New York 10014). You must be 21 years old and over to enter and a physical ID is required. Happy hour is optional.
Accessibility: SNMVC is wheelchair accessible and there is one wheelchair onsite for use while visiting.
