NYCMER Annual Conference

ACTION!

Monday, May 18, 2026

American Museum of Natural History

Join us for the 2026 NYCMER Annual Conference on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the American Museum of Natural History. This year’s theme is Action!

Museums are cornerstones of learning, community engagement, and civic life. As trusted institutions under financial, political, and environmental threat, museums find themselves compelled to respond. Action can take many forms. What actions have you taken? What actions can we take together?

Tickets for NYCMER’s 2025 conference for members are on sale now. Get them before April 15 for the member early-bird discount. Tickets for not-yet-members on sale Wednesday, April 24.

 Keynote Conversation

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Raymond Codrington,CEO of Weeksville Heritage Center, Ayesha Williams, Executive Director of Laundromat Project, and Dr. Ilk Yasha, Director of the Studio Museum Institute at the Studio Museum.

This moderated discussion will consider ideas of action from the perspective of three leaders in the field, and how educators are uniquely positioned to take them in cultural institutions.
