A Message to Members

Dear members,

First, on behalf of the NYCMER board-of-trustees, I hope that all of you and your loved ones are healthy and doing well. 

As a community of museum educators we know that much of our programming and plans have been thrown up in the air–canceled, postponed, converted to virtual, or unknown–with real implications for our audiences, pay, funding, schedules, professional development, and well-being. School closures, in particular, affect many of us professionally, but also personally.

In the coming days, we will be sending emails sharing resources for members and updates to our peer groups and programming. 

In the meantime, I want to especially thank our amazing all-volunteer peer group coordinators, conference committee members, and board members, for continuing and elevating their work even during a trying time.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at president@nycmer.org, with concerns, great examples of responses that you think we should amplify, or anything else.
