Come along on our next Spring field trip!

Join us for the next meeting of the NYCMER Early Childhood Peer Group on Wednesday, May 21 at 3pm at the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum of Art and Storytelling, designed to draw on “the power of art and storytelling to nurture the imaginations of young children.”

Please plan to arrive at 898 Saint Nicholas Avenue between 2:45pm – 3pm. We look forward to touring select areas of the Museum Preschool and the Museum’s current exhibitions, studio lab and artist studio with staff, exploring Broadway Housing’s model of integrating housing, education and the arts.

Our gracious hosts include Chris Gioia, Museum Operations and Events Manager, and Jessica Trujillo, Education, as well as Melissa Cruz, Sugar Hill Museum Preschool, Teaching Artist Elan Cadiz and Cindy Romero, Visitor Experience.

To close the program we will gather for an informal chat in the museum’s Living Room, home to programs and events.

Kindly RSVP by Monday, May 19 to Laura Kujo at laurakujo@yahoo.com.

The Early Childhood Peer Group exchanges ideas about audience development, program evaluation, pedagogy, professional development, programs for early childhood, family audiences, and more.
