NYCMER Reads Book Club Relaunch Meet-up

Join us as we relaunch the NYCMER Reads book club! This will be an informal gathering to hear about the next iteration of the NYCMER Reads book club, share what you hope to get out of the book club, get to know other NYCMER members in the book club, and find out what our first book will be. Please come prepared to share a little bit about yourself, your background in museums, and a favorite museum book that has had an impact on you!

We’ll meet at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in their first floor lounge, spend some time getting to know each other, and announce our first book club book. Afterward, anyone who wants to can check out their exhibit, Mystery and Wonder: A Legacy of Golden Age Magicians in New York City.

#NYCMERReads brings together arts & culture professionals to read and discuss nonfiction and fiction books related to museums at monthly meetups. The goal of NYCMER Reads is to encourage members to expand their museum knowledge and engagement through reading and discussing both nonfiction books about museum pedagogy and fiction books with museum-related themes because reading can be both for learning and FUN!
