Manager of Docent and Access Programs Rubin Museum of Art

Laura Sloan is the Manager of Docent and Access Programs at the Rubin Museum of Art. She completed her M.A. in Museum Studies from The City College of New York and has been involved with the Rubin since 2011. She is interested in ways that museums can be engaging and restorative spaces for people of all abilities. Laura manages monthly Access programs for visitors with Alzheimer’s/Dementia and their caregivers, tours for visitors who are blind or have low vision, and monthly tours and programs for seniors. Laura recruits and trains museum educators ensuring that they have everything they need to lead incredible tours at the museum including ongoing trainings and professional developments.
