Join NYCMER for a conversation on unionization in museum education and its implications. Over the past year, staff, including educators, at a number of museums, have voted to unionize, joining the small pool of local museums with long-unionized educators. Hear from staff and union reps involved in recent efforts, as well as from institutions with longtime unions, to learn about the process and the impact on the cultural workplace. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions anonymously via written notes. We encourage members at all career levels to join the conversation and hear from one another.

Speakers will be announced soon!

Accessibility: NYCMER is committed to providing opportunities for all of our members to participate in our programs and engage with one another. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Should you require any accessibility services (ASL interpretation, CART, etc.), please contact info@nycmer.org as soon as possible.

The nearest wheelchair-accessible subway station is Jay Street-Metrotech (A, C, F, and R trains).
