Earlier this year, the Neurodivergent Educator Peer Group held their first game night on Zoom. This game night will be in person from 6:00 – 7:15 PM at The Chocolate Room on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Neurodiverse games can bring structure and a safe environment in a fast-paced world. Come to Brooklyn, where some of New York’s most iconic institutions stand, for a discussion and to play some fun museum-related games at the end. Make sure to grab a piece of cake!

This event is free, however, each guest will be responsible for purchasing their own food and beverages. The Chocolate Room menu includes gluten free and vegan options.

This peer group event is only open to current NYCMER members. Email neurodiversepeergroup@gmail.com to RSVP. The event capacity is 10 people and spots will be filled in the order that RSVPs are received. This page will be updated once spots have been filled for this event.

The term neurodivergent has been around for many years. In recent years, it’s come to the forefront, with more people understanding and identifying as neurodivergent. Come to a peer group with fellow educators/museum workers who identify as neurodivergent. A safe space to discuss how we are each feeling professionally, train together, and share readings, tours and even games.
