Utilizing Outdoor and Green Spaces in Urban Institutions
Wildlife Conservation Society Education is a pioneer in zoo-based learning, inspiring over 1.5 million people each year across New York City. Operating across five parks—Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and the New York Aquarium—WCS provides innovative, high-quality learning experiences that empower individuals to care for and protect the natural world.
Join us to learn how the Central Park Zoo utilizes their outdoor spaces in their programming and learning goals, and how these skills can be applied to other urban institutions. NYCMER members will get a behind-the-scenes tour of the classroom spaces and key exhibits before we head to one of the Park’s outdoor spaces to participate in a Central Park Zoo activity!
