Location

Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Lewis B. and Dorothy Cullman Education and Research Building 4 West 54th Street

The Samuel and Ronnie Heyman Family Art Lab is a hands-on environment designed to connect young children and their caregivers to concepts and artworks found throughout the museum’s galleries. Elizabeth Margulies and Cari Frisch, the Director and the Assistant Director of Family Programs and Initiatives at MoMA, will introduce the current installation, which invites visitors to use sound as a creative material through listening, building, and play.

Join NYCMER’s Early Childhood Peer Group to experience the space firsthand, hear from MoMA educators about the process and thinking behind Art Lab: Sound, and discuss plans for the new installation opening this fall. Come ready to explore, share reflections from your own practice, and connect with fellow early childhood educators from across the city.

Cost: Free

Event Capacity: 25

Registration opens on May 15 for members and May 22 for non-members.

Kindly RSVP to laurakujo@yahoo.com.
