Building Solidarity
Anti-Asian hate crimes have spiked during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this book club meeting, we’ll consider ways that we can support the Asian American community, and ultimately adopt anti-racist stances: how can we advocate for unity among BIPOC communities, in which African American and Latinx populations are disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 crisis? How can we dismantle the ‘model minority’ myth that hurts ALL minorities?
