Statement of Interest:

My interest in NYCMER started when I heard so many wonderful things about the programs and symposiums held by your group. This gives me a tremendous opportunity to combine two things that I love. Museums and events management. I have been working in events for over 10 years now.

Goals for NYCMER:

Being able to gain more knowledge about the group and just being involved would be amazing. I would like to help in any way I can.

 

Professional Experience:

I have worked in a multitude of spaces from higher education to conference centers and taking all those years of experience I would like to change gears for a bit and focus more on what I truly enjoy. I have worked with Apella conference center and Riverpark restaurant for 2 years as an event operations manager. Events coordinator with NYCEDC. Events and dining coordinator with Weill Cornell medical school and 4 years as an assistant event manager with Columbia University.

 

Specific Skills:

Able to work in a fast-paced, high stress level atmosphere • Advanced project management skills and highly organized • Well-developed listening and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Working Knowledge of Micros, EMS, Gather, InDesign and Concur • Served as intermediary between client and third party vendors covering facets such as entertainment, F&B, transportation, linen, etc.
